When the W3C needed a Sensorial Game
When Reinaldo Ferraz W3C approached us saying he wanted to do something different and special to show the full potential of Open Web Platform were only three weeks to WebBR 2012, the conference held annually by the W3C Brazil.
We accept the challenge that should put together image, sound, animation and some form of interaction by webcam.
Within the agreed time we show a sensorial game: the user must push a gliding across the screen with hand movements capitated by the camera. The goal was to navigate the last countries that hosted the International World Wide Web Conference to reach to Rio, event host in 2013.
The technology used were GetUserMedia and WebAdioAPI, Canvas, SVG and some others. The goal has been achieved, we promote these technologies and also the result was pretty fun.
